Who We Are

This Brickland Timberlay project embodies the values of its family-owned heritage; timeless, unparalleled quality in design and construction, and a passion to merge nature’s best with high-end luxury.

Many successful years as a developer in Ottawa resulting in numerous accolades - including Ottawa Builder of the Year, National Landscape Awards, and National Kitchen & Bathroom of the Year Awards - have contributed to the realization of Clos de Sixte. Working on this spectacular sustainable development, Bob and Micheline McElligott continue their journey building a cottage community to be enjoyed by generations to come.

Dr. Helga Ehrlich, David Murchison & family

“This small piece of paradise 50 minutes from Ottawa is a great discovery. LAC St-Sixte is absolutely beautiful. We feel so fortunate to have found a place where nature is a focus and sustainable development a priority. The clean spring fed lake is wonderful for swimming, paddling and watching the wildlife. Working with the Builder/Project Manager—Paul McElligott and his 'top notch' building team has been wonderful. His ideas and attention to details are excellent. We look forward to many years of retreat and family get-togethers at this very special lake - a true Canadian treasure!"

Dr. Brendan Quinn, Christine & family

“Paradise found! LAC St-Sixte is a retreat to a pristine lake in a tranquil setting surrounded by an unspoiled environment less than an hour from Ottawa. As in everything he has done, Bob McElligott is meticulous about the development while keeping it sustainable. A legacy for future generations.”

Matt Lawrence, Raz & family

"We had been searching for a special piece of property for two years. We had perused hundreds of listings and visited over 60 properties. Our search ended upon viewing the community at LAC St-Sixte. The master plan is exceptional....large lots, a limited number of build sites, wonderful common facilities, the pristine lakes, and old-growth forest all combine to make LAC St-Sixte the perfect spot for our four-season getaway. Thank you Bob, Micheline and Paul!"

Dr. Michael Yachnin, Lina & family

“On a crisp, sunny Autumn day, Lina and I found paradise at LAC St- Sixte. A place to recharge, heal and grow, the lake is where we like to be. Here we can relax by the fire, walk through the climax forest, paddle or swim the quiet water, forage for mushrooms, make music, laugh with friends and family. . . where else would we want to be?”

Krys and Iwona Albrecht & family

“We have been searching for a perfect lot to build our dream cottage for a while. When Bob and Mich introduced us to LAC St-Sixte, we were captivated by its uninhabited beauty. Once we acquired the lot, we discovered so much more than its natural beauty – the pristine condition of the water, the silence surrounding the area and the desire by everyone to create a lasting and happy community.”

Ted Fobert and Jan & family

“Jan and I fell in love with this property the first time we visited it. The pristine lake and the old growth forest are spectacular. We were captivated by the vision that Bob, Micheline and Paul are now realizing on this property, and appreciate their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. This is a special place, and we look forward to many wonderful days at LAC St-Sixte.”

Claudia Gomez and Jean Corriveau

"Jean and I were looking for a place for our family to come together and where we could spend time away from the hustles of the city. We searched for both, lots to build or and already built cottage. We visited a number of places and could not find what we were looking for. When we first went to see the lots at Lac St-Sixte, we were enthralled for the raw beauty of the place, the peaceful, untouched lake with crystalline water. We loved the community concept around the lake with common areas, all neat and well appointed. Jean is an avid tennis player and having a court in the area is fantastic. The proximity to Ottawa, just a 50 minutes drive, is a great plus for us. We feel fortunate in finding such a place to build our dreams.”
